The Sunday Times has released its best places to live, with Morpeth , “the hearty market town” taking position 8 in the North East and also the best place to live in Northumberland!
Being one of the few stops on the three hour and 11 minute Lumo cut-price London-Edinburgh train service was really beneficial for Morpeth’s better place on this 2022 list.
The praise didn’t stop there, Jayne Dowle was impressed by both of Morpeth’s department stores for their “wealth of options”, which extended onto the local clubs, schools and the Morpeth Book Festival.
